How You Can Help
Be. The. Change.
“A good exercise for the heart is to bend down and help another up.” (unknown)
Choose to Make a Difference
Hearts for Change is striving to make a difference in the world. It started with our own experience and connection with children in Africa, and we hope it will continue as more people see that it only takes a little to ‘be the change’.
Donate
Generous donations can go far in many countries. We have seen the effect with our own eyes during our time in Kenya. We can guarantee you that every dollar you give in support of Hearts for Change will make a big difference in the life of a needy child.

Sponsor a Child
Sponsors make the biggest difference as they truly do bring smiles to the kids’ faces. We are so moved by the connections being formed between the sponsors and children and we are honoured to be the ones aiding the development of these bonds. Sponsors are encouraged to form a friendship with their child through letter writing and picture sharing. The children feel really special when they receive sponsors and like to hear all about the new person (or people) in their lives. They are really excited whenever they receive communication from their sponsors and do their best to reply in a timely fashion.
Sponsors pay $30/month (just $360/year) to sponsor a child in primary school and $50/month for children in secondary school. This money helps to cover the meal costs, education fees, and medical expenses of one needy child. If there is excess from the sponsor’s donations, the money will be used to support the other children at the home as well as some of the general expenses the home incurs.
Sponsor a Home
If you would like to help in a way other than sponsoring a child, sponsoring the home (orphanage/children’s home) itself is another great way to make a big difference. Giving $30 a month to the home will go towards purchasing necessities, paying employee salaries, monthly bills school uniforms, maintenance, etc. You will impact the lives of all the children living at the home.
I would never give up my sponsorship…it was the most rewarding thing I have ever done in my life!
I really appreciate how you are taking the extra steps to keep your sponsors in contact with the children.
Raise Funds for Hosanna
Small scale/individual fundraising adds up quickly. $10 from 10 of your friends is the same as $100 from you, but even better as it gets the word out and helps involve more people in a great cause.
Here are some projects anyone with the heart can do him/herself:
